braided cord has a central "filler" cord for integrity and stability/strength. It is supplied here in units of 1 metre. If multiple units(1m) are ordered it will be supplied in one continuous length, not cut into 1m lenngths. It is quite firm and due to its precision manufacture, very stable and hardwearing. This is sometimes refered to as "Paracord"
